- It should be known that one gallon of liquid covers
1,926.4 square feet for a thickness of thousandths (001) of inch.
Stages: a) Evaluate the thickness of adhesive necessary to a good adhesion of
materials to be stuck.
b) Divide the thickness of adhesive determined into (a) by the percentage of
solid in the adhesive used.
Example: If you want to apply 3 thousandth of inch and your solids are 20%. The
equation is 3 X (100/20) = 15
c) To divide the response of (b) by 1926.4 will give you the number of square
feet for one gallon of adhesive.
Example: 1926.4 ÷ 15 = 128.43 square feet of cover.
